Luke 22: 27 "Yet I am among you as the One who serves."
Christ came to serve and calls us to do the same.
A message from KP Yohannan: Gospel for Asia
Dependence Upon the Lord
He says “the more someone is naturally gifted the more he or she must go through death to self and pride.” The Lord doesn’t care about our positions or how great we are at something; He cares about our hearts. Do we do things as to the Lord, or because we’re good at it? Christ came so humble and that is exactly what we need to do. Walk in humility all the time, and depend on the Lord through every circumstance – good or bad.
Serve. Walk humble. Depend on God.
God has someone in your path for you to serve today. I'll let Him tell you who it is. Do not be so focused on your plan, your to-do list, that you miss God's call to serve someone. Be humble enough to be interrupted.
Open your mouth, spread God's love to someone who needs it. (Hint: everyone needs it.)
Open your mouth, preach the gospel.
Open your mouth, speak truth.
Open your mouth, defend the defenseless.
Open your mouth in service to God and others.
Open you mouth to glorify God and build others up, even at your own expense.
Open your mouth. Serve someone. Whatever you do, you do to Christ.
I know this is a big assignment, and so- a benediction:
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
~Ephesians 3
