In honor of Memorial Day, and also because I find myself blessed with two copies, I am giving away the Ball Blue Book of Preserving. It is a great resource for, well, preserving.
Speaking of preserving, I watched a fun DVD the other night: The Art of Canning with the West Ladies
Please leave a lovely comment here and I will enter you to win the canning book.
XOXO

Crazy Giveaway
Jocelyn, a servant of Jesus Christ
To those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ:
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.
So I have been talking a lot about the book, Crazy Love, by Francis Chan.
Why do I talk about it so much? Because the Holy Spirit has been using it to change my life. You know, the way I live. I have a desire to love people. Because I now understand in my heart that to love Christ and to be obedient to Him is to love people.
I have had 1 Corinthians 13 memorized since I was what, 14? And it has suddenly become so much more than a nice thing hear at weddings.
Read this, and listen with your heart:
1 Corinthians 13
Love
1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Dude, if you don't have LOVE, you don't have (much) Jesus. How could I have been missing that for so long? I am a 22-year-old Christian. And this LOVE stuff is just now sinking into my heart in a way that is changing me.
And so, I am excited about it. God has used this book in a crazy way in my life.
I would like to give one away to you, my readers. Just in case you are intrigued by my sudden obsession with living as Jesus calls us to live and want to read it for yourself.

So. I need this from you. On your blog or FB or whatever: A link to your favorite post here from February 25th to today and a link to crazylovebook.com, and a comment here to let me know you did that.
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
XOXO, (aka LOVE)

Free stuff

So the thought behind doing One World- One Heart (as far as I can tell) is that when you give things away, you make friends.
So I am giving away a pint of maple syrup from our very own maple trees. You will receive your prize: 1. When it becomes available, 2. If you win by leaving me a comment ON THIS POST. The winner will be announced on February 12th at which time I may or may not have the syrup ready. You may have to wait a bit, that's how sugaring works. Anyway, I digress.
Here's a picture of how your special syrup will be made.
And finally, you must tell me in 100 words or less why it is you like me so much. Or, at least something you like about my blog. You must give me a compliment. I likes me some comments that are compliments.
So. Bring on the compliments/entries.
