Bribe picture: Brilyn and Cade after church yesterday!
Here's a quart of our very own maple syrup! It is really really good. We did a head to head tasting with maple syrup from a local producer- ours is much more buttery, and has a light maple taste. I think I might enter it in the fair!
I also wanted to include directions for delicious oatmeal-
Prepare some oatmeal according to the box (I use organic old-fashioned oats from the Mennonite store). Add cinnamon, vanilla, and raisins to taste. Serve with real maple syrup and half and half. Enjoy!
And one last thing, Joe and I have discovered a great new game (thanks to the Kellers), Settlers!
We may be addicted, its all we can think about. (Last night, all I could dream about was buidling roads and cities.)
Anway, I will post again this week, so stay tuned!
XOXO

Joce, we love oatmeal at our house, thanks for the recipe. I have one too for baked oatmeal, it is delicious and is great re-heated for a couple days afterward too-let me know if you're interested. I have another movie recommendation for you too...Saving Sara Cain..we rented it this weekend and it is good. Another one directed by Michael Landon Jr. about a city girl raising her Amish nieces and nephews. The syrup looks awesome, good job! Very cute bribe picture too, what beautiful kids you have! Take care~Carol

Thanks for the movie recommendation- it sounds really good. The Beverly Lewis series are really good- a lot of her books are set in Amish communities.
TTFN!

Haha, I love it! That game is SO addicting and I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way.

Love the recipe! We ate it this morning! I told Kylie it was Brilyn's favorite so she ate it all up (she usually doesn't eat oatmeal). I also put some in the food processer for Cooper! He ate it all up too! No real maple syrup or half and half here;o( but it was good! Keep the good recipes coming;o) Love ya..Kara
